Chicken Broccoli Pasta




This is a really light pasta with no real "sauce". It is Stevens all time favorite! 
1.5 lbs fresh broccoli
1/4 c (I use less) olive oil
3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 c water
pasta
cheese (optional)

Trim broccoli and chop. Over medium heat, mix olive oil and garlic until sizzling. Add broccoli, salt, pepper and water. Cover and cook for 25 minutes on low. Stir occasionally. Meanwhile, cook your chicken (I season with garlic salt and pepper) and pasta. Add chicken and drained pasta to broccoli mix. Serve immediately.
