German Chocolate Frosting


I only make this for dad's birthday, but this is the best recipe i have come across so far. I usually double it because it's better to have too much frosting than not enough!
6 oz can evaporated milk
2/3 c sugar
1/4 c butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 c coconut
1/2 c chopped pecans

Combine milk, sugar, butter and egg in saucepan. Stir constantly and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and cool for a few minutes. Stir in vanilla, coconut and pecans. Ready to eat by the spoonful:)
