Deep Dish White Pizza Dough


This is Jackye Montgomery's recipe

2 Tbsp yeast
3 c warm water
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp salt
3 Tbsp oil
flour

Combine all ingredients in mixer adding flour until dough isn't sticky anymore. (I have never actually kept track but i think it's around 7-9 c). Cut portion in 1/2 and roll out one on pizza stone. Curl over edges to form crust. Add toppings and cook at 400 for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Makes 2 large pizzas so i usually freeze one for a lazy day. Freeze immediately though or it will continue to rise. When thawing just pull out of freezer about 5 hours before use and it should be soft.
*Can sprinkle corn meal to stone before putting dough on to get that extra restaurant feel.
