Chicken Tortilla Soup





Chicken Tortilla Soup

3 Chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
1/2 onion, chopped
3 cans chicken broth
3 cans cream of chicken
1/2 cup picante sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
8-10 corn tortillas, cut up

Top with: grated cheese, tomatoes, avocados, sour cream, crumbled chips

Saute the onion in some of the chicken broth. Add all other ingredients except corn tortillas and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer at least 15-20 minutes. (It will look kind of weird, and not very appealing, but it is!) Add corn tortillas 5 minutes before serving. Serve with suggested toppings.
