We like this recipe for bread as much as the other one I have posted and usually rotate making the two. This recipe came from Ashlie at the Haircut Box.
4 cups hot water
4 cups flour
Mix until wet. Then add ½ cup sugar
3 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon salt
2 rounded tablespoons quick rise yeast (or 3 packs of quick rise yeast)
Next, mix until combined. Add 5 to 7 cups of flour and mix until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. Mix for about 5 minutes. Let rise until double in size in an oiled bowl. Shape into loaves and place into greased pans. Let rise again until double. Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes.
This makes four loaves, depending on size of pan.
This is our favorite white sandwich bread! Super easy to make and quick to throw together!
